Using Baseball Glove Chair

Decorating a young boy’s room can be something of a challenge. There are so many different room themes that you can incorporate into the bedroom of a boy. Of course, many boys love a race car theme or they want their room to resemble a space shuttle. Others are crazy about sports and in that case, a baseball glove chair is a perfect find.

Standard pieces of furniture are relatively the same regardless of the theme of a young boy’s bedroom. A dresser to hold his clothes, a single bed for him to sleep in and perhaps a desk for him to focus on his studies, or draw pictures of what he hopes to be one day, are usual fare. Adding additional pieces of furniture that reflect his personal interests are a lovely way of truly making the room his own. A baseball glove chair does exactly that.

The chair itself is fully functional. At first glance it may not appear as though it would be very comfortable, but in fact you sink right into a baseball glove chair and you may not ever want to get back up. They are fun because they look remarkably like an actual baseball glove, save for the fact that they are many times bigger.

They do come in a few different sizes though. If you are planning on having it in your son’s room for several years you might want to consider getting the largest size. The reason is that when he’s a burly eighteen-year-old he’ll probably still enjoy sitting in the chair, and if it’s a child size model, it’s not going to be very comfortable. However, if you plan on handing the baseball glove chair down from one child to a younger sibling, you might want to consider the smaller version.

Sports stores sometimes carry these items. They may also offer a special order service which allows you to order the chair and then have it shipped to your home. Novelty stores tend to have all sorts of off the wall things including chairs of all shapes and sizes, so if you are searching for a baseball glove chair, try there.

Kids love to jump on furniture and they may be inclined to do just that with this type of chair. They are actually pretty sturdy but depending on the child’s weight and jumping power, the chair can suffer damage. If your baseball glove chair does tear, just take it in to a furniture repair shop for a quick fix. It will be back in playing or sitting form in no time at all.
