Wedding Favors

Wedding favors are definitely one of the most important parts of the reception. These favors are what the guests will take home to remind them about your big day. Many couples will try to include favors for their guests that provide a unique reflection of the event and of the couple's personalities. A big emphasis is being placed today on using cheap wedding favors that are original to the couple; of course, even with original favors no one will be totally unique, but there are enough choices out there that there's a good chance none of your guests will encounter quite the same favor again.

The best way to make your favors unique is to include the names of the couple as well as the wedding date somewhere on the favor. The great thing about wedding favors is that they come in such a vast range of different items, and virtually all of these items can include monograms. One very popular favor idea continues to be chocolates, with the original twist coming in the way that the chocolates are packaged. Packaging, in fact, continues to be the way in which most wedding favors convey the sense of originality, whether small gift boxes or bags are used to encase the present. Miniature items to consider include sets of teaspoons, tiny monogrammed bottles of champagne, paper weights, and coaster. Some couple may also choose to use small cameras as favors, so that the guests have a gift and can also contribute to the memories!

Groomsmen Gifts

Grooms rejoice! Buying gifts for the guys in your wedding party couldn't be any easier than it is with Gifts and Otherwise. We have all the groomsmen gifts guys love, from engraved money clips to personalized beer mugs, cuff links and even golf gifts — many of them can be personalized for free!

Traditional gifts for the groomsmen include bar ware (such as pint glasses, wine glasses, sets, and cocktail shakers), money clips, flasks, and the like. Some more modern twists include sportswear and sports gear, such as pennants and bats. Because the groom and his attendants so often share the same interests, it might be a good idea to give a gift that they can all use during their favorite pastimes, such as golf gear or paintball accessories. Tool kits are also a great idea for the groomsmen. In all cases, the gifts should be personalized by adding an engraving as well as a thank you note and the date of the wedding.

Gifts For Your Bridesmaids

Buying bridesmaids gifts for your bridesmaids as a thank you and a memento for your wedding is easier than you might think. First of all, remember that it is expected that each of your attendants will receive the same gift (the difference, of course, will be in the personalization). The one exception is the maid of honor, who will usually receive a gift that is different from everyone else's. The second thing to remember when looking for the right gift to give to your attendants is that the same type of gift has remained popular throughout modern wedding history.

Make Your Gifts Unique

You will probably prefer that the gifts you give out as thank-yous and mementos on your wedding party are personalized. Personalized gifts are a great way to add a unique touch to any favor or other type of wedding gift. In the strictest sense, personalized, unique gifts often mean that the name of the bride and groom, as well as the date of the wedding, is found somewhere on the gift. It can either be a label, a ribbon, or an engraving.

Children's Gifts

Many wedding parties include children in the form of a ringbearer and/or flower girl, sometimes more than one of each! Personalized children's gifts are often given to each of the kids as a way of thanking them for participating in the bride & groom's special day.
